How
to do "stuff" on your computer
"useful stuff" such as downloading photographs from digital cameras and removing red-eye,
using Microsoft Office software, managing e-mail...
"really cool stuff" downloading music,
uploading music onto mp3 player, build websites...
"important stuff" shopping
on-line, internet banking, research using “search engines”...
"essential stuff"
understand what your children are doing and make sure they are safe...
"technical stuff" software
and operating system updates and keeping it running smoothly.
Williams Home Tech offer individual
tuition at £30 per hour... save money by getting together with a friend and sharing the cost.
Tuition for two people will cost £45 per hour.
Technical Support
PC Problems slow running or even grinds to a halt,
won't start up properly, error messages, blue screen, doesn't look the same as it used to, printer won't work,
sound doesn't work, I spilt coffee over my keyboard.
Installation and setup new software, upgrade
operating system (e.g. Windows XP and Vista), add hardware (e.g. printers, scanners, digital cameras etc)
Home Networks Wireless networks (setup, security), hard wired networks, broadband, printer and file sharing
Broadband Installation and setup. Why
you can’t get the advertised speeds... how to get faster broadband. Internet security (do you know what "phishing"
(pronounced "fishing") is? Using things like BBC iPlayer.
On-site technical support will cost £30 for the first half hour then £15 per half
hour after that. Off-site repairs and upgrades will be on the basis of an estimated time at the above rates
plus parts or licences.
Please contact Dave even if your requirement does not fall into any of the
above examples. Don't worry if you are not sure of the "correct technical terms" to describe what you want.
We should be able to decipher what you mean.
