Try not to open too many programs while working on your
computer. The more things that are open, the slower your system will run.
Older computers with limited memory
(less than 2GBytes) will struggle to run sophisticated Internet Security software.
Unsecured wireless networks
will allow others to access your network and piggy back on your internet connection. This has become more of an issue with
the increasing number of 3G mobile phones which can access wireless networks.

Consider the two little words "Up to" when looking at advertised broadband speeds. In the Semington
area you will be lucky to get 4 Mbytes/sec even if you live right next to the exchange.
Other Issues
Keep your laptop out of extreme hot and cold temperatures,
which could affect the performance of the PC.
